I know . . . I know, I've been gone for a while. I have no excuse other than the fact I have been INSANELY busy this past month. It still doesn't feel like summer has started for me yet . . .

But it will this FRIDAY . . . because I'm going on VACATION!!!!!

The past four weeks have pretty much followed this pattern . .

Me sick (okay, just at the very beginning, but it screwed up my plans for the last 2 days of school) . . . Kid #1 & 2 had day camps, sleepovers, and friends over . . . Kid #3 had preschool, swimming lessons and gymnastics.

Now this week goes as follows . . .

All kids - NOTHING!!!! Kid #3 now is no longer in preschool! It's hard to believe that for the better part of the past 9 years we have had at least one child there - sigh!

Me - Trying to get everything ready for us to be gone for the next 2 1/2 weeks (yes, that's what I said, 2 1/2 weeks). Some of my stuff has already been dealt with (paper, water, mail deliveries), but the rest is the stuff I truly hate . . . packing!

The rest of the summer is pretty much a roller coaster (which is good for me, since I can't ride real ones anymore), we're in Wisconsin for the 2 1/2 weeks, then we get home for about six days, then I leave again with all the kids and my dad for sunny So. Cal. I see both my parents down there, then Hubby picks up the kids and takes them home while he drops me off in LA for a fun filled weekend of no kids but lots of authors of kids books. The day after I get back, Hubby leaves for his annual fishing weekend. By the time he gets home, we have one last week until . . . SCHOOL BEGINS!

Is your head swimming? I know mine is . . . so I can tell you right now I may not be blogging much (although I do have internet service in the Great North Woods of Wisconsin), although given how long it took me to get this entry in . . . who would know the difference? :)

I've got to get back to work . . . hope everyone has a good summer!
