WELL . . . So much for keeping up with things! I had tried to post a couple of days of go(to finally talk some baseball), but I somehow hit the wrong button as I was trying to spell-check and I inadvertantly deleted the whole post. I wasn't in a position to write it out all over again.
OH WELL . . . .
Usually I am still asleep at this time, desperately trying to wake up. But for some reason I'm bright eyed and bushy tailed (not enough to get in the shower, but to do this instead).
It should be the usual business today . . . get Kids #1&2 to school and Kid #3 is home with me today. Not that that's a bad thing, but Kid #3 WEARS ME OUT! I wish I could find a way to bottle his energy . . . I'd make a mint on it! I've often told people I'm so glad he's my third and not my first otherwise I honestly don't know if I would have had any other kids.
But he has gymnastics today . . . WOO HOO!
Need to drag my butt out of my nice warm bed . . . and into my VERY cold house . .
OUCH!

OH MAN THE DAYS ARE DRAGGING . . . .
To say the past 10 days have been frustrating is a GROSS understatement! This time of the year is usually my favorite and has been ever since I was a kid . . . but lately I've been feeling like I'm drowning. Every time I feel like I'm about to get my head above water, I'm pulled back under by something . . . something happens with one of my kids, my frustration over my writing boils over, or everyday life just gets in the way.
I know it's because I'm not getting enough sleep.
When I was still working (and because the kids were younger) I had to get up at 4am . . . so I had gotten into the habit of going to bed by 10. But as the kids have gotten older, I've found I need the ME time at night when the house is quiet. Unfortunately that means I'm lucky if I get to sleep between 11 and midnight.
My biggest concern is that the less sleep I get, the bitchier I get . . . and my kids deserve better.
So I need a trade off, but I'm not sure if I can do it.
I know things will calm down after the holidays . . . I just have to stay sane until then. The good news is . . . I FINALLY finished my shopping . . . TODAY!
Now I just need some baseball to tide me over . . . more on that tomorrow . . .

Well . . . the lights are up, I have MOST of my presents bought, and we're getting the tree tomorrow night . . . everything is ALMOST right with the world.
Except for one little thing . . . my FREAKING EARS!!!!
I've had ear problems since I was little (glue-ear, got tubes 3 times) and to a certain extent they've continued to adulthood (I perforated my left ear drum when I was in college due to an infection that didn't quite heal the first time). ANYWAY, I know I have an equalibrium prob and had it checked out about 2 years ago . . . but never did the follow-up. Well yesterday it came back at me with a vengence.
Last night I started having dizzy spells. They came on so suddenly that I had to quit working last night and go home to deal with it. Everytime I bend over or lay down, it feels like the room is SPINNING big-time.
Thankfully because it happens during those time only . . . I know it's my ears. On top of that my left ear has been kind-of achey today.
If it's not SIGNIFICANTLY better by tomorrow I'm going to call my doctor . . . otherwise this had been a royal pain in the ASS!!!!
Everything else seems to be going well . . . the weekend was crazy busy with Kid #3 having a party on Sat. followed by Kid #1 going rock climbing w/Boy Scouts . . . then Sunday had Kid #2 and I at a Girl Scout function and then going to a pot-luck at church (which is 30 min. away) and I had to make a main course . . . it took everything I had just to breathe!
This week looks much more promising on the home front . . . now I'm just waiting to hear about what's going on with the MLB Winter Meetings to see if my GIANTS have a hope in hell of doing half way decent next year.
We'll see . . .
